2011 Day of Inspiration - Secrets of Achievement
A sell-out crowd was left surprised and mesmerised as the corporate event started in an unusual manner. A stunning aerial performance right above the heads of the audience set the scene for a unique event. With the beautiful and articulate Juliette O'Brien recounting stories about her father, Chris O'Brien the founder of the Lifehouse program, Juliette made everybody aware of the importance of being not only at the event to learn but also being in the room to make their contribution towards finding a cure for cancer.
Hosted by Channel 7’s Sunrise Program’s charismatic Mark Beretta, Keynote speakers included business guru Todd Coates, managing director of Sydney BridgeClimb who provided thought-provoking nuggets of business wisdom to move any business of any size forward.
Nigel Brennan, Australia's longest held hostage outside of war, told an amazing story about being help captive in Somalia. You could have heard a pin drop through the room as he told his emotional story of kidnapping, isolation, brutality, mental strength, survival and the Price of Life.
Former NSW Head of Forensic Police, business consultant and Founder of Hands Across the Water, Peter Baines, showed why he is one of Australia's most recognised and respected keynote speaker as he talked about leadership.
Add in some of Australia's finest sport personalities who shared stories about the highs and lows of sport from icons including Kieren Perkins, Louise Savage, Layne Beachely and cricketer Simon Katich.
The day was closed by Paralympic and world downhill speed champion Michael Milton and the stimulating, challenging and world leading neurosurgeon, Dr Charlie Teo, which all added up to one massive day with loads of takeaways, information and inspiration.
After five years of amazing events, Day of Inspiration is recognised as a leading annual Australian conference on insights, performance and achievement.
